We have a fantastic opportunity for a Product & Growth Marketing Director (AI) to join our team. This role requires a high-energy, ambitious, multidisciplinary marketer to support our go-to-market strategy for Matillion’s new AI product. The marketer will build demand-generation campaigns, create brand content, elevate thought leadership, and refine positioning to gain a competitive advantage.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in start-ups, creating categories, or disrupting markets through innovative marketing. They should be comfortable with technical complexity, enterprise sales, and working cross-functionally with marketing teams (Demand Generation, Creative, Field). As a leader in AI disruption for data engineering, knowledge of AI markets and product marketing is essential for clarifying positions, understanding customer profiles, and aligning teams.

What you will be doing

1. Lead the development and execution of comprehensive marketing programs across positioning, demand generation, content marketing, customer marketing, and field marketing to meet pipeline and brand awareness goals.
2. Define and oversee the creation of clear, compelling, and differentiated messaging that highlights the product’s unique value in AI and data transformation.
3. Elevate customers, employees, and executives with thought leadership content that differentiates Matillion’s AI product and educates the market on its disruptive potential.
4. Develop executive content, including ghostwriting, to establish the voice and positioning of leadership.
5. Own sales enablement strategies, providing tools, training, and content such as pitch decks, demo scripts, and case studies to support sales efforts.
6. Collaborate strategically with Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Field, and Corporate Marketing teams to integrate the AI product into broader marketing initiatives.
7. Align closely with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams on product features, customer needs, and improvements.
8. Define KPIs, oversee reporting, and leverage insights to optimize marketing efforts and contribute to business growth.

What we are looking for

• Extensive experience in product marketing, especially in AI, SaaS, or data products, with leadership in cross-functional initiatives and outcome accountability.
• Experience in growth marketing and early-stage start-up strategies.
• Proven success in launching disruptive products, ideally in data or analytics.
• Strategic thinking with tactical execution skills to drive adoption and revenue.
• Leadership in cross-functional teams including product, sales, engineering, and customer success.
• Exceptional communication and storytelling abilities.
• Comfort with data and analytics for campaign measurement and strategy adjustment.
• Experience in fast-paced startup environments with high adaptability.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, or related field.

Preferred

• Experience with AWS, Google, Microsoft, or Snowflake.
• Pragmatic Marketing certification is a plus.
