Product Governance Manager

Oxbow Resourcing is proud to be partnering exclusively with a leading insurance business to recruit a Product Governance Manager. This is a unique opportunity to shape and lead governance initiatives across a diverse product suite, including Travel, Pet, Gadget, and Car Hire Excess insurance.

You'll sit at the heart of the product function, spearheading strategic governance improvements, embedding best practices, and ensuring products are fair, compliant, and continue to deliver outstanding customer value.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead the end-to-end product governance process, from annual product reviews to fair value assessments.
• Chair the Product Governance Committee and contribute to high-level strategic decisions.
• Drive horizon-scanning initiatives and proactively respond to regulatory changes (e.g., FCA, PROD 4, Consumer Duty).
• Collaborate with internal teams to enhance transparency, improve customer communications, and track product performance.
• Ensure all governance frameworks, documentation, and processes are robust, compliant, and future-ready.
• Manage and develop a small, high-performing team of governance professionals.

What We're Looking For:

• Strong knowledge of FCA regulations and product governance principles.
• Experience in insurance product strategy, development, and fair value assessment.
• A consultative leader who can challenge the status quo while keeping the customer front and centre.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with confidence in influencing senior leadership.
• Progress towards a professional insurance qualification (CII or similar) is desirable.
