Job summary

AFH Wealth Management is seeking a Product Governance Lead to design, operate, and oversee our Product Governance framework, ensuring all products and services comply with FCA PROD, Consumer Duty, and SYSC requirements.

You will act as the compliance authority and drive robust assurance, escalation, and reporting to the Product Governance Committee, supporting strong governance and informed decision-making across the business.

Qualifications

• Experience in UK retail investment product governance, research, or conduct risk.
• Working knowledge of FCA PROD, Consumer Duty, and SYSC.
• Experience operating within SM&CR environments and supporting accountable SMFs.
• Ability to challenge constructively while maintaining professional independence.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and governance skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and enhance the Product Governance framework to ensure FCA PROD and Consumer Duty compliance.
• Oversee product and service due diligence for onboarding new products and proposition elements.
• Oversee risk-based periodic and trigger-based product review cycles.
• Embed Consumer Duty outcomes metrics into product onboarding and reviews.
• Ensure target market assessments are embedded within due diligence and reviews.
• Act as compliance authority to the Product Governance Committee.

Product Governance Lead

The purpose of this role is to primarily focused on supporting the design, operation, and oversight of the firm's Product Governance framework, ensuring that all products and services distributed by the firm are compliant with FCA PROD, Consumer Duty (PRIN 12), and SYSC requirements.

The role acts as the compliance authority and control owner for product governance matters, providing robust assurance, challenge, evidence, and escalation to the Product Governance Committee.

As our Product Governance Lead, you will typically:

• Oversee and support continuous enhancement of the firm's Product Governance framework, ensuring compliance with FCA PROD and Consumer Duty requirements.
• Oversee and support the product and service due diligence framework for onboarding new products and proposition elements.
• Oversee risk‑based periodic and trigger‑based product review cycles.
