Job summary

Cummins Europe in Darlington, United Kingdom seeks a Product Engineering Specialist to join our engineering team. You will act as a central coordinator across engineering, customer teams, suppliers and manufacturing to ensure alignment and smooth delivery.

You will influence product decisions, drive progress on projects, and apply sound engineering judgement to day-to-day technical choices while improving reliability and sharing knowledge with colleagues.

Qualifications

• Experience on technical products at component or subsystem level.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyse data.
• Confident communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to organise work and deliver in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate across engineering, customer teams, suppliers and manufacturing to align delivery.
• Influence product decisions by gathering stakeholder input and translating to recommendations.
• Drive project progress with sound engineering judgement.
• Improve product reliability by identifying risks and mitigating failures early.
• Support design decisions through analysis, simulation and data interpretation.
• Lead smaller projects or own components with increasing accountability.
• Strengthen processes by applying problem-solving methods and design reviews.
• Mentor colleagues and contribute to the development of less experienced engineers.
