Job summary

Newell Brands in Manchester area seeks a Product Engineer to turn small appliance ideas into launch-ready products under the Breville brand. You will lead the engineering side of new product development, ensuring performance, quality and cost targets are met across teams and projects.

You will own timelines, run Stage-Gate processes, develop specs, perform DFMEA/DVP&R, run tests, and drive design reviews with cross-functional teams in a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering relevant to product development.
• Experience in product development, manufacturing, or engineering environment.
• Experience with prototyping, design validation, testing and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Develop products that meet customer needs, goals and regulatory requirements.
• Lead multiple NPD projects through Newell's Stage-Gate process and manage milestones.
• Create engineering specifications and lead DFMEA, DVP&R and quality specs.
• Develop test plans and validate designs with internal/external labs.
• Review PPAP data and lead Design/Tooling/Process improvements.
• Create basic CAD models and prototypes using AI-assisted tools when suitable.
