Newell Brands Inc. is seeking a Product Engineer to turn ideas into launch-ready products for the Breville brand and other global brands. You will lead engineering in new product development, ensuring performance, quality and cost targets are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Plastics, Mechatronics Engineering or related field.
• Practical experience in product development, manufacturing, or engineering environment.
• Prototyping, design validation, testing, and engineering problem-solving experience.
• Knowledge of 3D CAD software and ability to review 3D models and 2D drawings.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow a stage-gate process.

Responsabilités

• Develop innovative products that meet customer needs, financial goals, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead multiple NPD projects through Stage-Gate, defining timelines and milestones.
• Create engineering specifications and lead DFMEA, DVP&R, and quality specs.
• Develop test plans and validate designs with labs, review PPAP documentation.
• Lead design reviews and review CAD models with cross-functional teams.
• Create basic CAD models using AI-enabled tools for early prototypes.
• Conduct IP searches and work with legal on IP clearance and patent applications.
• Analyze competitor products and identify opportunities for innovation and cost reduction.
• Assess product safety, manufacturability and reliability with cross-functional teams.
• Investigate product complaints and provide technical support for resolutions.
• Apply materials knowledge and manufacturing processes including injection moulding.
