Job summary

Understanding Recruitment is helping a fast-growing AI-driven fintech team in Central London recruit a Software Engineer with Rust and C++. The role combines low-level, high-performance systems development with AI tooling, on-site five days a week; visa sponsorship is available.

You will own problems end-to-end, build high-performance Rust/C++ systems, work with AI agents and LLMs, and help shape product architecture. Strong academic or competitive programming background preferred.

Qualifications

• Exceptional technical ability with a top-centile background.
• Experience with low-level, high-performance or complex systems (C++ or Rust).
• Thrives in autonomy and ambiguity in a startup/AI tooling context.
• Competitive programming or strong academic background is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own problems end-to-end.

£100K - £250k base + significant equity
