Job description

Purpose of the role

We have an opportunity for a Product Development Technician for concrete to join our small team at our Chipping Sodbury laboratory.

The role involves conducting fresh and hardened concrete testing to support the development of high-performing concrete mixes in accordance with UKAS standards. You will assist in the assessment of primary and secondary aggregates, admixtures, and innovative concrete ingredients.

The successful candidate will be able to work to UKAS standards and support the Senior Technician.

Key Accountabilities

1. Production and testing of bespoke concrete solutions
2. Assessment of ingredients on concrete performance
3. Maintain equipment and facilities in good working order
4. Conduct sample visits
5. Maintain a safe and healthy work environment
6. Manage stock levels of equipment, cements, aggregates, and admixtures to ensure efficient use of lab time
7. Maintain all required Health & Safety and Quality records
8. The post holder should be familiar with Microsoft Office applications, as well as SAP and Contessa; training will be provided.

What's on Offer

• Salary: £26,500 - £28,500 (dependent on experience)
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Schedule: 8am - 4:30pm, with 30 minutes unpaid lunch
• Overtime: Paid overtime available
