Job summary

1st Step in Wrexham is looking for a Development Chemist to drive the development and improvement of coatings products. You will conduct laboratory testing, prepare samples and investigate technical issues while supporting customers with technical guidance.

You’ll work closely with production, quality control and sales teams, reporting to experienced managers, with UK customer visits and opportunities for training and career progression.

Qualifications

• Experience in chemical or laboratory background.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to work directly with customers.
• Full UK driving licence essential.

Responsibilities

• Developing and improving new and existing products.
• Conducting laboratory testing, preparing samples and investigating technical issues.
• Supporting customer trials, product applications and technical troubleshooting.
• Working closely with production, quality control and sales teams.
