Job summary

Ben Sherman is seeking a Product Development Assistant in Leeds (LS15). You will provide vital admin support to the Product Team, help with seasonal launches, samples and tech packs, and manage branding and packaging templates.

The role involves posting, supplier coordination, and daily critical-path admin alongside the director and team. Ideal candidates have fashion/textiles exposure, CAD document skills (Illustrator/InDesign), strong accuracy, and excellent organisation.

Qualifications

• Previous fashion or textiles experience or work placement is an advantage.
• Ability to produce and edit CAD documents using Illustrator and InDesign.
• Strong accuracy and organisational skills in admin support.
• Excellent communication and time-management abilities.
• Proactive, self-motivated team player with initiative.

Responsibilities

• Book in all departments post and process outgoing post with full records.
• Assist with seasonal range launches, samples, looks books and swatching.
• Assist with seasonal tech packs for cross costing and production.
• Assist with branding packs, packaging guides and care label templates; check supplier artwork.
• Manage daily admin for casualwear critical paths; log approvals and chase suppliers.
• Load products in inhouse system for POs and maintain store reports.
• Attend fit sessions and assist with sample management.
• Support project work and sample sales as required.
• Provide admin support to director and department as needed.

Purpose of the role:

As a Product Development Assistant, you will play a vital role within our Product Team. You will provide essential admin support to your department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Book in all departments post and process outgoing post. Ensuring full records are kept
• Assist with seasonal range launches, preparing samples, looks books, presentation boards and swatching
• Assist with seasonal tech packs for cross costing and production
• Assist with setting up the branding packs, packaging guides and care label templates and checking artwork from suppliers
• Manage the daily admin for the casualwear critical paths. Logging approvals, chasing suppliers, and contributing to weekly critical path meetings under the support and guidance of manager/s
• Loading products on our inhouse system ready for POs
• Completing and documenting monthly and seasonal store reports
• Attending fit sessions where required
• Sample management
• Assist with project work when required
• Assist with the sample sales when required
• Admin support to the director and department when required

Knowledge & Skills Required:

• Previous fashion or textiles experience or work placement an advantage
• Proactive and uses initiative
• Strong accuracy skills
• Ability to produce and edit CAD documents – Ideally to have experience of Illustrator and InDesign
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Creative presentation skills
• Strong communication skills over the phone, in writing and face-to-face
