Job summary

Scarlet is on a mission to accelerate medical device certification through user-centered design. As a product designer, you will shape products that translate complex regulation into fast, clear, and trustworthy experiences for medical technology companies and their regulatory teams.

You will collaborate with product, engineering and regulatory experts, and engage directly with customers to understand their work and test what we build.

Qualifications

• A strong portfolio of impactful products you've helped ship.
• Ability to turn ambiguous, complex problems into clear solutions.
• A blend of sharp product judgement and exceptional design craft.
• Strong instincts for when and how to research.
• Experience designing, prototyping and evolving design systems in code.
• Superb written and verbal communication and openness to critique.
• Experience in health tech or another regulated industry.

Responsibilities

• Design for both sides of Scarlet's service: medical technology companies bringing devices to market, and the regulatory teams assessing them.
• Improve the products users rely on today and shape new ones as Scarlet grows.
• Collaborate with product, engineering and regulatory experts, and work directly with customers to understand their work.
• Test what we build and iteratively refine the user experiences.
