Job summary

Red Door Recruitment is seeking a creative Product Designer to join a fast-growing consumer products business in St Albans. You will work on development of innovative products, packaging, and promotional materials from concept through production.

The role suits a designer who blends creativity with commercial objectives, with 3+ years in product/packaging design, and strong Adobe CC skills to deliver production-ready artwork and branding across channels.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Product Design, Graphic Design, Packaging Design or similar.
• Degree or equivalent in Product Design or related discipline.
• Advanced Adobe Creative Cloud skills: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign.
• Strong understanding of brand identity, typography, and visual communication.
• Experience designing for print, packaging, and retail environments.
• Knowledge of packaging structures, POS displays, and production processes.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop innovative, commercially successful products across categories.
• Create packaging concepts, artwork, and visual assets per brand guidelines.
• Produce production-ready artwork for manufacturing, print, and packaging.
• Design marketing collateral, point-of-sale materials, promotional content, and digital assets.

Our client is a successful and growing consumer products business looking for a creative and commercially minded Product Designer to join their collaborative design team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on the development of innovative products, packaging, and promotional materials for well-known brands, taking concepts from initial idea through to production.

This role would suit a designer who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, balancing creativity with commercial objectives, and managing multiple projects at various stages of development.

• Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 depending on experience
• Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, office based

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop innovative, commercially successful products across a range of categories.
