Job summary

Red Door Recruitment is seeking a junior Product Designer for a busy consumer products team in the UK. This role suits a design graduate or early-career designer eager to develop skills across product, packaging and marketing materials in a fast-paced environment.

You will create packaging artwork, digital assets and supporting marketing content, and produce production-ready artwork for print. Collaboration with internal teams and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Product Design, Graphic Design, or related discipline.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
• Strong branding, typography, layout, and visual communication skills.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365.

Responsibilities

• Develop creative and commercially viable product concepts.
• Create packaging artwork, presentation materials, and supporting marketing assets.
• Produce accurate production-ready artwork for print and manufacturing.
• Assist with design projects from initial concept through to launch.
• Create digital assets including web graphics, promotional materials, and campaign support content.

A well-established and growing consumer products business is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Junior Product Designer to join their design team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a design graduate or early-career designer looking to develop their skills within a fast-paced commercial environment, working on a diverse range of products, packaging, and marketing materials.

Candidates must be able to drive due to lack of transport links.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop creative and commercially viable product concepts
• Create packaging artwork, presentation materials, and supporting marketing assets
• Produce accurate production-ready artwork for print and manufacturing
• Assist with design projects from initial concept through to launch
• Conduct market and competitor research to identify emerging trends and opportunitiesWork closely with internal departments to ensure projects meet deadlines and objectives
• Support the organisation and maintenance of design assets and product libraries
• Contribute creative ideas and solutions to product development and marketing initiatives
• Create digital assets including web graphics, promotional materials, and campaign support content

What the client is looking for:

• A degree or equivalent qualification in Product Design, Graphic Design, or a related discipline
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
• A strong understanding of branding, typography, layout, and visual communication principles
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong attention to detail and a creative approach to problem-solving
• The ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
