Would you like to play a crucial role in the delivery of products that contribute to Public Health Scotland’s mission to improve life expectancy and reduce health inequalities in Scotland?

With significant project and product management experience, you will support multi-disciplinary teams to successfully plan and deliver a range of products and projects that will vary in size, scope, and complexity. There will be an emphasis on digital products – but not only.

As a Product Delivery Manager you will:

  • work with Product Managers to support the delivery and continual improvement of large-scale, complex products such as our corporate website, and intranet
  • create and manage clear, manageable delivery plans to achieve product goals, and apply project management methods appropriate to the needs of the project to enable delivery through multi-disciplinary teams
  • build and empower product teams, ensuring they are motivated, collaborating, working well, and delivering with momentum
  • communicate progress to stakeholders, and proactively identify and help resolve risks, issues, and other barriers to successful delivery
  • contribute to the development of our product management and delivery practices as part of our user-centred design and delivery approach

The Candidate:

You will have:

  • a degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant subject area such as product or project management, or a related field with specialist knowledge of project management techniques and methodology acquired through additional learning or demonstrable experience within the industry
  • significant product and project management experience with ability to apply techniques proportionately to a complex and multiple set of projects and support others in effective product management and delivery
  • experience and confidence using Agile product delivery techniques, with ability to contribute to building our capacity in Agile delivery and our user-centred design approach
  • excellent organisation and planning skills and experience of dealing with conflicting demands, meeting challenging deadlines, and working under pressure
  • excellent interpersonal skills to establish credibility and build effective working relationships with project teams, colleagues, and stakeholders
  • highly developed communication negotiation, influencing, mediation, facilitation, and presentation skills

Location and Working Pattern:

Hybrid working is offered but candidates may choose to work solely in the office. Offices are based at 2 Central Quay Glasgow or The Gyle Edinburgh.

Working pattern will be Monday to Friday 37 hours per week.

During times of public health emergency, or other urgent business need, you may be required on a temporary basis to work your normal contracted working hours over 7 days including weekends, in order to meet the needs of the service.

It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with PHS.

Our benefits package includes pension scheme, comprehensive range of work life balance policies, occupational health services, learning resource centres and discounted leisure, financial and shopping benefits.

Further Information:
