Job summary

Jobsinkent is seeking a commercially minded Category Lead to own a defined product category and drive its long-term strategy. The role involves managing the full product lifecycle from launches through to optimisations, and working with Purchasing, Sales, Marketing and international teams to develop category plans.

You will become the technical expert for your category, providing knowledge and commercial guidance.

Qualifications

• Experience in Category Management or similar commercial role.
• Strong commercial awareness with analytical skills.
• Experience managing product lifecycles.
• Ability to understand technical product information.
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders across departments.
• Proactive, organized and solutions-focused.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Own a defined product category and drive long-term strategy.
• Manage full product lifecycle from launches to range optimisation and discontinuation.
• Identify growth opportunities via market research and competitor analysis.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Sales, Marketing and international stakeholders to develop category plans.
• Become the technical expert for your category with product knowledge and guidance.
• Support product launches, promotions and sales initiatives.
• Monitor category performance, stock levels and KPIs to maximise profitability.
• Ensure product information is accurate, compliant and consistent across channels.
