Job summary

Qubitra is seeking a product owner to take ownership of the product backlog across algorithmic trading and the ecosystem platform, shaping what gets built and in what order. You will translate client conversations into actionable specs for engineering and oversee the delivery at every gate, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

You will work directly with the COO, Head of Engineering and CEO, influencing what we build and how we track progress.

Qualifications

• Ownership of a product roadmap and sequencing decisions with trade-offs.
• Finance/trading/fintech domain experience ideal.
• Exposure to Quantum, ML, and financial market trading concepts and reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Own the product backlog across algo trading and the ecosystem platform, decide what to build and when.
• Turn client needs and internal direction into clear specifications for engineering.
• Hold the delivery process at each gate and maintain item lifecycle quality.
• Own user acceptance to ensure shipped work meets actual needs.
• Maintain traceability from work item to plan to company objective.
• Collaborate with engineering leads and vendor teams to keep scope and capacity honest.
• Experience using Notion and Claude.

We have more good ideas than we can build, engineers who need clearer inputs, and talented scientists designing the next generation of algorithm. We need you to own what gets built next and why. That is this role.

You will own the product backlog across our algorithmic trading and our quantum platform and products. What gets built, in what order, and the reasoning behind it. You will turn client conversations and internal direction into specifications engineering can build from without guesswork, hold the delivery process at each gate, and own user acceptance at the end of it.

You will work directly with our COO, Head of Engineering and CEO, and you will have genuine say over what we build.

Key Responsibilities

Own the product backlog across algo trading and the ecosystem platform, what gets built, in what order, and why.

Turn client need and internal direction into specifications engineers can build from without coming back for clarification.

Hold the delivery process at each gate, keeping work items moving cleanly through their lifecycle and maintaining the standard at each one.

Own user acceptance, confirming that what we shipped is what was actually needed.

Keep traceability from work item to plan to company objective, so we can see what our effort is buying.

Work with our engineering lead and vendor teams to keep scope, sequence and capacity honest.

Experience using Notion and Claude.

Ideal Experience

• Ownership of a product roadmap, including the sequencing decisions and the trade‑offs behind them.
• Financial services, trading or fintech domain experience.
• Exposure to Quantum, Machine Learning, and Financial Market Trading (concepts, execution, positions, P&L, reconciliation).
• Interest in working with AI tooling as a core part of the job.
