Job summary

BYD Europe is seeking a Product & Sales System (Compliance) Specialist to support the product data management and UK vehicle registration activities for BYD and Denza. You will partner with internal product teams and UK/China stakeholders to ensure data alignment, regulatory compliance, and accurate documentation across the vehicle lifecycle.

Ideal candidates bring a structured, detail-oriented approach, strong communication skills, and familiarity with UK DVLA/RAV processes.

About the Job

As the Product & Sales System (Compliance) Specialist, you will support the product team’s operation from the product data management perspective, contributing to wider teams on vehicle registration, data alignment and compliance topics across our passenger car portfolio, on both BYD and Denza.

In this role, you will work closely with internal product teams, as well as relevant teams in the UK and China, to respond to enquiries and gather the necessary information. This position is well suited to someone who values structured processes, consistency, and precision, and who takes pride in delivering accurate, dependable work.

The Product & Sales System (Compliance) Specialist will report directly to the Senior Product Compliance Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the overall UK market vehicle registration process for both BYD and Denza
• Maintain product trackers and databases, updating information carefully and methodically, including the testing and certification data.
• Assist with and provide input where applicable for the internal vehicle lifecycle data management platform to ensure smooth vehicle registration targets
• Help ensure alignment of data across localisation governing submission portals and product configurations
• Support on periodic compliance tasks as instructed by line manager
• Follow established checklists and procedures to support clear, consistent communication with third-party automotive governing authorities

Requirements

• High independent issue-resolving capability
• Bachelor's degree preferably in Automotive related field
• Familiarity on the UK vehicle registration process, knowledge on DVLA process, RAV process, etc.
• Understanding on Basic Vehicle Compliance requirements from Manufacturer level
• Automotive industry work experience is essential, but not necessary with OEMs.
• Enjoys structured, repetitive, process-driven work and demonstrates strong attention to detail
• Disciplined, Patient, focused, and methodical work style
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Basic familiarity with New Energy Vehicles
• Valid driver’s license for passenger car
• Mandarin language skills are an advantage, but not a requirement
