Job summary

Morgan Jones Recruitment Consultants is seeking a proactive Procurement Assistant in Maidstone to join a busy team involved in stock control, purchasing and supplier management. Your organised approach and practical procurement experience will help ensure smooth ordering, accurate records and timely deliveries across the business.

You will raise purchase orders, monitor stock levels and support forecasting, while maintaining strong supplier relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience within procurement, purchasing, supply chain or stock control.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience processing purchase orders and managing procurement records.
• Knowledge of stock management and forecasting principles.
• ERP/CRM system experience, ideally SAP Business One.
• Understanding of logistics, shipping and supply chain processes.
• Strong IT and administration skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
• Reliable, adaptable and able to prioritise workloads effectively.
• Eligible to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Raise and process purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain procurement records and associated documentation.
• Support stock forecasting and inventory planning activities.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate timely replenishment.
• Assist with Bill of Materials (BOM) creation and maintenance.
• Update procurement information within the ERP/CRM system.
• Track procurement data and produce accurate reporting.
• Verify shipping documentation and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments to ensure timely deliveries.
• Help resolve stock, delivery and order-related issues.
• Build and maintain positive supplier relationships.
• Support negotiations with suppliers to achieve the best commercial outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
