Prince Personnel in Wolverhampton is recruiting a Purchasing Assistant to support the day-to-day purchasing function, ensuring materials and services are sourced efficiently to meet production needs. The role suits someone with purchasing or procurement experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

You will raise purchase orders, monitor supplier performance, onboard new suppliers, track orders, and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

• Experience processing purchase orders and dealing with suppliers.
• Strong IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office packages.
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
• Previous experience within a manufacturing environment would be advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Raising and processing purchase orders
• Monitoring supplier performance and maintaining supplier records
• Assisting with the sourcing and onboarding of new suppliers
• Tracking orders to ensure deliveries are received on time
• Liaising with suppliers to resolve delivery issues and discrepancies
• Reviewing production schedules and requisitions to anticipate material requirements
• Ensuring purchased items meet required specifications and cost targets
• Maintaining accurate purchasing, delivery and audit documentation
• Updating purchasing databases and records
• Assisting with stock control activities and stock checks
• Producing reports and analysis as required
• Ordering workwear and PPE for employees
• Providing purchasing cover during periods of holiday and absence
• Supporting wider administrative activities across the business as required
