Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Procurement Coordinator to support the full procurement cycle, manage supplier relationships and optimise stock for timely production deliveries. This office-based role reports to the Purchasing and Operations Director within a UK manufacturing and distribution business.

The role requires a proven procurement background, strong negotiation, Excel proficiency and an ability to forecast stock and costs.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement, purchasing and supply chain processes.
• Strong negotiation abilities.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience managing a broad range of SKUs.
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel.
• Good maths and English skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to travel within the UK and overseas.
• Right to work in the UK.
• CIPS qualification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support the full procurement cycle from supplier research to PO management.
• Assist negotiations to secure competitive pricing and terms.
• Maintain stock levels aligned with sales and production needs.
• Raise purchase orders and validate supplier invoices.
• Provide pricing/ cost updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
• Monitor orders and resolve delivery or invoicing issues.
• Maintain supplier/product databases and assist risk assessments.
