Job summary

Asset Resourcing is seeking a Buyer I for a 6-month fixed-term contract at the MK3 site. The role involves hands-on purchasing, managing Purchase Orders, SAP data maintenance, and supplier administration to support the Senior Buyer.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing setting, with ERP/SAP exposure, strong attention to detail, and a proactive, organized approach. On-site at MK3 with a pro rata salary of £37,000–£40,000.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years' experience in purchasing, buying or supply chain within manufacturing/engineering environments.
• Experience using ERP systems and raising/managing purchase orders (SAP preferred).
• Strong attention to detail with proactive, organized approach.

Responsibilities

• Raise and manage Purchase Orders in line with demand requirements.
• Review SAP daily against Material Lists and Traffic Lights, taking remedial action as needed.
• Monitor exception messages and outstanding POs, mitigating supply risk with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Support vendor qualification, ECO processes, and supplier corrective actions.
• Validate supplier invoices and resolve cost, quality or delivery queries.
• Support safety stock replenishment across sites.
