Job summary

Reevr Talent Ltd. is recruiting a Buyer for a 12-month fixed-term contract in Milton Keynes, with an immediate start.

The role focuses on strategic procurement beyond buying, developing the supplier base, driving cost savings and supporting cross-functional teams in Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality. You will manage supplier performance, lead negotiations, and contribute to continuous improvement across purchasing processes, while travelling to suppliers in the UK and internationally as

Qualifications

• Experience in Purchasing/Buying within manufacturing or engineering.
• Strong supplier management and negotiation experience.
• Track record delivering on cost, quality and delivery objectives.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Excel and MS Office proficiency.
• Willingness to travel UK and internationally.

Are you an experienced Buyer looking for your next opportunity with a fast-growing and highly successful organisation?

We re working with a brilliant, growing business in Milton Keynes that is looking to appoint a Buyer on an initial 12-month fixed-term contract, covering maternity leave.

This is much more than a transactional buying role. You ll play a key part in developing the supply base, driving cost savings, managing supplier relationships and supporting the wider business across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and Supply Chain.

The Role

As Buyer, you ll be responsible for:

• Managing and developing a competitive, reliable supplier base.
• Supporting and implementing commodity and sourcing strategies.
• Leading supplier selection, enquiries and negotiations.

About You

We re looking for someone who is commercially minded, proactive and enjoys working in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

You ll ideally have:

• Previous experience in Purchasing/Buying within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Strong supplier management and negotiation experience.
• A track record of delivering against cost, quality and delivery objectives.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• CIPS or an equivalent recognised procurement qualification is desirable.
• A willingness to travel to suppliers in the UK and internationally.
