Job summary

CALLUM in Warwick is seeking a procurement professional who is process-oriented, organised and proactive in asking questions throughout the procurement cycle.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Operations and Programme teams, maintain open orders, raise POs, and use data to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Candidates should have a degree, strong interpersonal skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; hybrid options may be discussed.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate negotiation.
• Organised and disciplined approach.
• Ability to condense information into reports and summaries.
• Familiar with major applications within Microsoft Office.
• Awareness of basic engineering processes and technical drawings.
• Degree-qualified at bachelor level.

Responsibilities

• Purchase and deliver goods and/or services in accordance with the various programme delivery schedules and budgets.
• Work collaboratively with the Engineering, Operations and Programme Management Teams
• Strictly maintain an open order report that accurately conveys delivery information to the wider business
• Send out RFQ packs diligently and consistently
• Strengthen the company's position to foster negotiation with suppliers
• Prepare and raise purchase orders including delivery schedules
• Serve as an interface to the company for suppliers and do so with a professional approach
• Use data and statistics to identify areas to improve efficiency and reduce cost
• Take ownership of the procurement of parts and services, ensuring that they are delivered to the expected standard and on time
