Job summary

Wythenshawe Community Housing Group is seeking a Procurement Officer to join our Procurement team in Manchester. You will manage end-to-end procurement activities, including tenders, supplier relationships, contract management and spend analysis, to ensure value-for-money and risk control across the organisation.

You will collaborate with colleagues across the business, providing practical support and guidance while contributing to process improvements in how procurement is delivered.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement roles, ideally in public sector or similar environment.
• Experience managing tendering processes and supporting contract and supplier management.
• Confidence providing procurement advice and guidance to colleagues.
• Experience using e-procurement systems and analysing spend data.
• Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills with a wide range of stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end procurement processes across a range of value thresholds.
• Support procurement strategies, category plans and value-for-money initiatives.
• Manage procurement pipelines and prioritise multiple projects effectively.
• Assist with contract and supplier management, including renewals and performance monitoring.
• Maintain and use e-procurement systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Analyse spend data and support reporting, KPIs and decision-making.
• Provide procurement advice and guidance to internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of procurement processes and procedures.
