Job summary

Stockport Homes Group is recruiting a Procurement Officer to work with the Procurement Manager on a range of procurement activities across the organisation. You will help shape processes, embed compliant practices and deliver value for money while engaging stakeholders across the business.

The role emphasises collaboration, problem solving and strong analytical skills, with a hybrid working pattern and a minimum two days in the office each week.

Qualifications

• Experience in the public sector within procurement/contract management.
• Ability to advise, guide and support stakeholders to complete procurement activities that are compliant and outcome-focused.
• Strong organisational, project management and influencing skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Able to balance independent work with team work.

Responsibilities

• Undertake a wide variety of procurement activity across SHG.
• Contribute to delivery of SHG's Mission by embedding procurement processes.
• Develop and deliver procurement projects and secure stakeholder buy-in.
• Ensure compliance with legislative requirements while delivering value and high-quality outcomes.
• Spot opportunities for change and drive improvements in procurement practices.
