Job summary

Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an organised procurement professional to support the Scan4Safety programme across wards, departments and services.

You will manage day-to-day ordering, monitor stock levels, review usage patterns and ensure timely deliveries to meet patient care needs while achieving cost efficiencies.

This progressive Band 3 role offers a clear pathway to Band 4 based on performance, with development opportunities at our Oxford Road Campus in Manchester.

Responsibilities

• Undertake day-to-day ordering activity on behalf of the customer.
• Ensure customer's requirements are met in the most cost effective way and maintain supplies.
• Carry out quarterly reviews with ward/departmental leads to set stock levels and order needs.
• Regularly review stock range and activity with the customer and reflect changes.
• Assist in value for money studies and report spend/saving activity.
• Receive, check and store deliveries; rotate stock and keep stores tidy.
• Process discrepancies, returns and credits appropriately.
• Develop in Scan4Safety and Procurement within the NHS, translating data into excellent customer service.
