Job summary

Thales is seeking a Procurement Project Manager to join the OME UK team in Glasgow, operating in a hybrid setup. The role involves defining procurement strategies, managing multi-site supplier relationships, and driving cost optimisation across design, development and production phases.

The ideal candidate has strong procurement expertise in multinational environments, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to manage complex projects with diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Understanding of procurement lifecycle and supplier management in best practice environments.
• Experience in complex, multinational, multi-site organisations; defence/aerospace/manufacturing exposure desirable.
• Strong technical awareness of end-to-end procurement activities and project management.

Responsibilities

• Define, implement and execute procurement acquisition plans across project, product development and production phases.
• Act as link between internal customers and transnational procurements; interface to all segments/categories.
• Validate market offers for product/project design; monitor procurement plan execution.
• Collaborate with Category/Subcontract/Tactical Buyers to optimise cost and competitiveness.
• Monitor procurement dashboard and ensure contractual requirements are met.
• Liaise with operations teams and managers to ensure delivery against plan.
