Job summary

MCS Group is recruiting for a temporary Procurement Specialist in Belfast. You will deliver compliant procurement activities, support category managers, and develop commercial strategies within a large organisation.

Ideal candidates will have procurement experience, be progressing CIPS Level 4, and be comfortable managing end-to-end tender exercises. The role offers hybrid working and Belfast-based duties for 12 months.

Qualifications

  • Experience working within a procurement function or department in a large organisation.
  • Proven experience delivering procurement benefits, including savings, efficiencies, sustainability, and cost avoidance.
  • Practical experience managing end-to-end tender exercises, from identifying requirements through to contract award, including experience using online tendering portals.
  • Studying towards CIPS Level 4, or a commitment to complete this within two years of appointment.

  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and provide procurement advice.
  • Support contract management, supplier performance, and the delivery of value for money.

The Person

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and experience:

Essential:
  • Experience working within a procurement function or department in a large organisation.

  • Practical experience managing end-to-end tender exercises, from identifying requirements through to contract award, including experience using online tendering portals.
