Job summary

David Harber is a luxury design business creating sculptures, sundials and water features for distinguished spaces worldwide. We are seeking an experienced Procurement / Purchasing / Ops professional to take ownership of procurement, supplier relationships, materials and stock while contributing to day‑to‑day workshop operations in Oxfordshire.

You will work closely with production, design, sales and finance to ensure the right materials are available at the right time and cost, with scope to

Qualifications

• Experience buying raw materials and components for manufacturing or bespoke production.
• Experience in FF&E procurement for luxury design or architect studios is a plus.
• Strong negotiation and cost-control skills with an eye for quality and craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

• Lead purchasing across specialist materials and subcontracted services.
• Build dependable supplier relationships, negotiating pricing, terms and lead times.
• Monitor quality, supplier performance, expenditure and supply risks.
• Ensure craftspeople have the right materials at the right time, balancing quality, availability and cost.
• Coordinate operational priorities across design, workshop production, finishing and delivery.
• Take ownership of stock accuracy, inventory management and materials planning.
• Organise logistics, deliveries and fleet requirements.
• Support health & safety with clear records and practical processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflow, reduce costs and resolve delays.
• Strengthen communication, planning and accountability across teams.
• Support Sage 200 ERP implementation and adoption.
• Lead two direct reports and develop the wider operational function.
