Job summary

David Harber is a British luxury design business crafting sculptures, sundials and water features. We are seeking a Buyer Procurement Manager to own procurement, stock and supplier relationships, working closely with our Oxfordshire workshop to deliver commissions on time and to spec.

The role blends hands-on buying with process improvements and may include Sage 200 ERP implementation, stock control and developing purchasing workflows for broader operations.

Qualifications

• Experience buying raw materials and components for manufacturing or bespoke production.
• Strong supplier-management and negotiation skills.
• Ability to plan, coordinate materials with workshop teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead purchasing across specialist materials and subcontracted services.
• Build dependable supplier relationships, negotiating prices, terms and lead times.
• Monitor quality, supplier performance, expenditure and supply risks.
• Ensure craftspeople have materials at the right time, balancing quality and cost.
• Coordinate priorities across design, workshop production and delivery.
• Support stock accuracy, inventory management and materials planning.
• Organise logistics and fleet needs, and help implement Sage 200 ERP.
• Contribute to Health & Safety standards and practical processes.
