We are now recruiting for the role of Procurement Manager - ESG to be involved in a developing a global supply chain and creating opportunities for the wider industry.
Responsible for the delivery of our Social Value and sustainability strategies for procurement. Working with the wider Procurement teams to develop and implement sustainable procurement practices and delivery of our Social Value and Sustainability objectives within our external Supply Chain.
Ability to implement strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and commitments as well as legal and regulatory requirements. Demonstrable knowledge of regulatory and legal requirements to support delivery of Sustainability and Social Value targets.
A deep knowledge and understanding of ESG issues including knowledge of sustainability frameworks (UK and global), environmental regulations, ethical labour practices, and social responsibility standards. Ability to monitor industry trends and emerging sustainability issues to ensure appropriate actions to mitigate risk to business delivery are in place.
Experience of using ESG platforms such as Ecovadis and utilising output data to assess needs and identify capability gaps, building plans to support improvement to ensure we are tracking progress against our goals. The ability to quantify the data to provide accurate and timely reporting on performance including environmental impacts and the evaluation of supply chain risks.
Ability to work cross-functionally to ensure delivery of targets and goals. Working with internal stakeholders such as HSE, Quality, Supplier Development and the wider Procurement team.
Building relationships with suppliers and external partners such as chambers of commerce, providing support to ensure achievement of goals. Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills will be required.
Acting as ‘social value champion’ supporting smaller organisations (Suppliers SME’s) in their journey to deliver against ESG targets. Experience in supporting teams and or organisations in implementing change or driving development/improvement plans.
Experience of identifying the opportunities and implementing the changes without any detrimental impact on the organisation.
MCIPS preferred.
Training in any other ESG professional development courses would be an advantage, e.g.,
