Job summary

Verso Recruitment Group partners with an established electronics OEM to appoint a Procurement Manager who will lead the purchasing function and support manufacturing operations, improving supplier performance and delivering commercial value.

You will manage a small team of three Buyers, drive cost reduction, negotiate contracts and collaborate with Engineering, Production Planning and Quality to ensure material availability for production.

Qualifications

• Experience managing and developing a purchasing or procurement team.
• Experience purchasing mechanical components, including sheet metal or plastics; electronics/electro-mechanical components a plus.
• Strong negotiation skills with proven cost savings and commercial improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of three Buyers, setting objectives and monitoring performance.
• Oversee procurement across mechanical and electro-mechanical components to ensure continuity of supply.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts and supplier terms to achieve best value.
• Develop and monitor supplier relationships and performance against cost, quality and delivery targets.
• Drive cost-reduction initiatives while maintaining product quality and service levels.
• Improve purchasing processes, orderbook management, inventory control and reporting.
• Collaborate with Engineering and other stakeholders to identify alternative suppliers and sourcing solutions.
