Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a Category Manager - Electronics to develop sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships and drive commercial performance across the electronics spend area. You will work with Engineering, Quality, Production and Supply Chain teams to ensure continuity of supply in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.

The role requires data-driven negotiating, supplier performance management, and onboarding of new suppliers.

Qualifications

Experience in category management within electronics manufacturing environments.
Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
Ability to work with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Quality and Operations.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement sourcing strategies for electronic commodity groups.
Build and manage strategic supplier relationships to support business objectives and supply chain resilience.
Negotiate pricing, lead times, contracts and commercial agreements with suppliers.
Identify, evaluate and onboard new suppliers in line with category strategies.
Drive supplier performance improvement through reviews, audits and development plans.
Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams on NPI activities and resolve supplier-related issues.
Provide accurate supplier pricing and lead-time information to support quotations.
Monitor market trends, supplier capacity and risks to support informed sourcing decisions.
