We're looking for a results-driven Procurement Manager to lead the sourcing of retail and supply chain products and services, ensuring cost-efficiency and compliance. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders to understand business priorities and deliver commercially smart, operationally effective solutions. This role also involves managing supplier relationships and negotiating contracts that drive cost savings and improve overall efficiency.

The Role

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the delivery of strategic sourcing initiatives across retail and supply chain categories, contributing to cost savings and improved supplier value.
• Analyse spend reports and supplier data to identify savings opportunities and ensure alignment with budget and business objectives.
• Assist in the end-to-end procurement process including supplier selection, running RFPs, negotiating terms, and drafting contracts.
• Work closely with internal teams to understand their requirements and help develop procurement solutions that meet operational and commercial needs.
• Ensure procurement activities follow company policies and contribute to managing risk and maintaining compliance standards.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to support performance monitoring and continuous improvement.

Location:

This role is based in Nuneaton, and may be occasionally required to travel to our Burton Hub or to any other location of H&B. We support flexibility and productivity of our employees by hybrid working arrangements with minimum 2 days presence in the office

The Person

Key Requirements:

• Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation capabilities are required for this role from both an internal and external perspective.
• Developing relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers to drive effective commercial change is extremely important for this position
• Analytical Skills: There is a large amount of raw data associated with this position (internally in the form of spend reports and contractual databases), therefore the ability to understand current spending partners, supplier products and services, and contractual positions is important for candidates to show experience of. Driving change based on quantifiable driven insights will help prove the rationale for business wide change.
• Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that deadlines are met without compromising quality.
• Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication skills for engaging with stakeholders at all levels and managing vendor relationships effectively.
• Experience in managing medium and large-scale procurement projects, including contract negotiations and supplier relationship management.
• Experience managing green field relationships and driving procurement process /change.
