Job summary

Morris & Spottiswood is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead procurement strategy across the group. The role is full-time, permanent, and can be based in Glasgow or Warrington with a flexible hybrid model.

You will drive supplier strategies, cost controls, and commercial leadership while partnering with senior stakeholders to deliver value. The position emphasizes ethical, strategic procurement, team leadership, and continuous improvement within a multi-site environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a senior procurement or supply chain management role.
• Strong commercial and negotiation skills with experience managing high-value supplier agreements.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and motivate teams.
• Experience working with KPIs, performance reporting, and continuous improvement.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Experience operating within a Group or multi-stakeholder environment.
• Knowledge of sustainable and ethical procurement practices.
• Membership of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) or equivalent.

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role can be based at either our Glasgow or Warrington Office, however we also offer a flexible Hybrid working model.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver the Group’s procurement and supply chain strategy to support business objectives, growth, and value creation.
• Develop long‑term supplier strategies, using market insight to manage risks and identify opportunities
• Improve planning and digital capability within procurement processes.
• Ensure strong performance through SLAs, KPIs, and regular reviews, while taking corrective action where required.
• Provide commercial and financial leadership, overseeing negotiations, tenders, and contract reviews to achieve savings, rebates, and robust cost controls.
• Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and senior leaders, act as a trusted advisor, and represent the business externally.
• Lead and develop the procurement team, fostering an inclusive, high‑performing culture across the supply chain
