Job summary

Trostan Dene, a growing international manufacturing business, seeks a Procurement Manager to shape strategy and lead sourcing across raw materials, packaging, and indirect spend. You will collaborate with Operations, Finance, R&D, Quality and Sales to secure supply and drive value creation.

You will develop and implement procurement strategies, manage supplier performance, lead negotiations, and drive ERP/planning system integration to support our growth trajectory.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of supplier negotiations and cost optimisation.
• Experience operating within an international supplier environment.
• Excellent supplier relationship management and communication skills.
• Experience with ERP systems and procurement analytics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Manage and continuously improve supplier performance through SRM.
• Lead supplier negotiations, contract management and commercial discussions.
• Develop sourcing strategies for raw materials, packaging, engineering services and indirect spend.
• Ensure continuity of supply by proactively managing supplier risks and market developments.
• Monitor global market trends, commodity pricing and supply chain developments.
• Support inventory optimisation activities in collaboration with Planning and Operations teams.
• Ensure suppliers comply with regulatory, quality, environmental and ethical standards.
• Drive supplier engagement regarding sustainability requirements, packaging regulations and customer compliance expectations.
• Monitor procurement KPIs including cost savings, supplier performance, delivery reliability and inventory impact.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within procurement processes.
• Support implementation and optimisation of ERP and planning systems.
• Act as the primary procurement contact for strategic sourcing decisions.
• Collaborate with Quality, R&D and Operations on supplier qualification and development.

Role Overview-

The Procurement Manager will play a lead role in developing and executing procurement strategies that ensure security of supply, cost competitiveness, quality, sustainability, and long‑term supplier partnerships. The successful candidate will work closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, R&D, Quality and Sales to support the company's business objectives and growth plans. Key duties include-

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.

• Lead supplier negotiations, contract management and commercial discussions to achieve optimum total cost of ownership.
• Develop sourcing strategies for raw materials, packaging materials, engineering services and indirect spend categories.
• Ensure continuity of supply by proactively managing supplier risks and market developments.
• Monitor global market trends, commodity pricing and supply chain developments.
• Support inventory optimisation activities in collaboration with Planning and Operations teams.
• Ensure suppliers comply with applicable regulatory, quality, environmental and ethical standards.
