Role: Procurement Manager - Temporary - Belfast
Job Overview
VANRATH are pleased to support a well-established company in need of an experienced Procurement Manager to join and oversee an initial project. The Procurement Manager will join the business on a temporary basis with view to extend.
Salary: £40,000
Location: Belfast
Contract: Temporary, with view to extend
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective purchasing and high-quality supply chains.
• Lead supplier negotiations and manage key supplier relationships to ensure optimal terms and delivery.
• Oversee the procurement process, ensuring the timely purchase of goods and services in line with company needs and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, company policies, and industry standards.
• Analyse market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Manage procurement staff and ensure effective team performance.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Prepare and manage procurement reports, tracking purchasing performance and key metrics.
• Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions and supplier contracts.

Essential Criteria:

• Significant experience in procurement or a similar supply chain role.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships.
• Proven ability to develop and execute procurement strategies effectively.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience using procurement software.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and market trends.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
• A degree or professional qualification in procurement, business, or a related field is desirable.
• Experience in a similar industry would be an advantage.
