We are looking for a forward thinking Procurement Manager to join our dynamic team here at Medik8. You will be responsible for the procurement of materials to support the day-to-day manufacturing needs of the business. Your focus will be on optimising procurement processes, building strong supplier relationships, and driving cost savings across all areas of the business.

In more detail your role will include:
Procurement and Strategic Sourcing:
- Manage the timely and efficient procurement of goods to fulfill weekly business manufacturing needs.
- Implementation of stock holding agreements to reduce lead-time and improve cost.
- Oversee the artwork process to ensure components are delivered to latest regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for key categories of spend components.
- Support sustainability objectives through responsible sourcing and supplier reviews.
- Manage product lifecycle across all departments in the business.
- Ensure key components have clear secondary supply.
Supplier Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts and secure favourable pricing and payment terms.
- Ensuring all new suppliers are set-up in accordance with the approved supplier process.
- Manage supplier performance, address issues, and drive continuous improvement in quality and delivery.
- Conduct supplier reviews and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Procurement Process Improvement:
- Implement and maintain the procurement arm of the ERP system.
- Responsibility for management of product and bill of material set-up on ERP system.
- Continuously review and optimise procurement processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and minimise risks.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with procurement regulations and best practices.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Track and analyse key procurement metrics, such as spend analysis and cost savings.
- Prepare regular reports on procurement activities and provide insights to key stakeholders.
- Utilise data analytics to identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement and product discontinuation.
Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including operations, finance, and engineering.
- Provide expert support and guidance to internal stakeholders on procurement-related matters.
Requirements:
- Solid experience as a Direct Procurement Manager, ideally within beauty or the pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience of using ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to build deep and long term supplier relationships.
- A track record of utilising budgeting and cost management skills to achieve cost-effective procurement outcomes.
- Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet and data analytics is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail combined with the ability to zoom out and think strategically.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
