Job summary

s1jobs is recruiting for a senior Public Sector Procurement leader to head up a procurement team at a large, established higher education institution in Falkirk. You will oversee end-to-end tendering across Estates, Facilities Management, ICT and Professional Services, advising stakeholders and ensuring compliant procurement practices.

The role is permanent, full-time with hybrid working, offering 40 days holiday and enhanced parental leave, plus funding for professional and leadership

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Scottish/UK procurement legislation.
• Experience managing regulated tender processes.
• Contract negotiation and management experience.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Good commercial awareness and analytical ability.
• CIPS membership or working towards this would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

Job description

A large and well-established Higher Education institution in Falkirk is looking for an experienced Public Sector Procurement professional to head up its procurement team.

This is a varied role covering Estates, Facilities Management, ICT and Professional Services, with responsibility for managing procurement activity from tender through to contract management. You will work closely with stakeholders across the Institution, providing practical procurement advice and supporting the delivery of their procurement needs.

You will also manage a small team providing support, guidance and mentoring.
