Job summary

Falkirk Higher Education Institution is seeking an experienced Public Sector Procurement professional to head up its procurement team. You will oversee end-to-end procurement across Estates, Facilities Management, ICT and Professional Services, working with stakeholders to deliver efficient procurement outcomes.

You will manage a small team providing guidance and mentoring, ensuring compliance with Scottish and UK procurement legislation, and drive sustainable, socially responsible procurement

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Scottish/UK procurement legislation.
• Experience managing regulated tender processes.
• Contract negotiation and management experience.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Good commercial awareness and analytical ability.
• CIPS membership or working towards this would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage contract negotiation, implementation and ongoing contract management.

Job description

A large and well-established Higher Education institution in Falkirk is looking for an experienced Public Sector Procurement professional to head up its procurement team.

This is a varied role covering Estates, Facilities Management, ICT and Professional Services, with responsibility for managing procurement activity from tender through to contract management. You will work closely with stakeholders across the Institution, providing practical procurement advice and supporting the delivery of their procurement needs.
