Job summary

SKA Observatory is seeking a Procurement Manager in the UK to lead the UK procurement function, shaping strategy and ensuring compliant, value-driven procurement across multiple categories. You will manage a small UK team, drive policy development and supplier engagement while coordinating with international partners.

The role requires strategic leadership, strong negotiation skills, and a track record of delivering procurements across high and low value contracts in a global research

Qualifications

Senior procurement/leadership experience in complex environments.
Proven ability to coach and develop a small UK-based team.
Strong governance, risk and contract management capabilities.

Responsibilities

Lead the UK SKAO Procurement Team, ensuring performance and development.
Oversee end-to-end procurement across IT to construction contracts.
Develop procurement policies and promote sustainability and value-for-money.
Negotiate contracts and support project managers post-award.
