Job summary

Elgin Energy is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead end-to-end procurement across major renewable energy projects, including competitive tenders, contract negotiations and supplier engagement from development through to delivery. The role spans UK and EU sites, with focus on solar PV, storage, and grid infrastructure.

You will coordinate with Engineering, Legal, Finance and Operations to ensure robust, on-time procurement aligned with project programmes and governance.

Qualifications

• Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Energy, Construction, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement planning and contracting strategies for projects.
• Manage end-to-end tenders for EPC, ICP, BESS supply and related services.
• Coordinate input from Engineering, Construction, Development, Commercial, Legal and Finance.
• Lead negotiations of EPC, ICP and BESS agreements focusing on bankability and risk.
• Provide status reports, tender recommendations and decision papers.
• Build relationships with tier-1 contractors through workshops and reviews.
• Support contract handover to project delivery teams.
• Develop supply chain strategies and sourcing options for key tech categories.
• Monitor supplier capability, capacity, lead times and price trends.
• Support business cases with procurement inputs and market intelligence.
• Collaborate within Procurement to align priorities.
• Maintain procurement records and improve templates and processes.
• Undertake supplier, factory and site visits across the UK, Ireland and Italy.
