Job summary

Elgin is seeking a Procurement & Supply Chain Manager for a 12-month maternity cover in Dublin or London. You will lead procurement planning, run end-to-end tenders for EPC/ICP and equipment supply, and coordinate with Engineering, Legal and Finance to ensure well-governed procurement decisions.

You will develop category roadmaps, monitor supplier performance, and support business cases with market intelligence and price forecasts. Travel may be required across the UK, Ireland and Europe.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant engineering or commercial discipline with procurement focus.
• Significant experience in procurement/supply chain within renewable, infrastructure or capital projects.
• Experience procuring construction services and major equipment for renewables.
• Experience leading competitive tenders and negotiating EPC/ICP agreements.
• Understanding of contract structures, project interfaces and risk areas.
• Ability to translate market intel into clear recommendations for decisions.
• Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement planning and contracting strategies aligned to project objectives.
• Manage end-to-end tender processes for EPC, ICP, equipment supply, and related services.
• Coordinate input from Engineering, Development, Legal and Finance to support procurement decisions.
• Lead or support negotiations of complex high-value agreements focusing on bankability and risk.
• Develop supply chain strategies and roadmaps for key technology categories.
• Monitor supplier performance, capacity, lead times and geopolitical risks.
• Build strategic relationships with tier-1 contractors and suppliers through updates and workshops.
• Provide inputs to business cases and financial models including capex/opex assumptions.
• Produce procurement status reports, market outlooks and tender recommendations.
• Support contract handover to project delivery and resolve queries during execution.
• Coordinate workload across Procurement, mentor team members and ensure governance.
