Job summary

EQ Care Group is seeking a Procurement Lead (Purchase Ledger) to source goods and services across the organisation, ensuring quality, value and continuity of supply. You will lead procurement activities for existing homes and new openings, working with Project Managers, designers, suppliers and senior leadership.

You will manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts and drive cost savings within our ESG framework, while keeping processes simple, effective and compliant with policy.

Procurement Lead (Purchase Ledger)
£40,000 per annum
40 hours per week – Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days from home)

Role Overview

As the Procurement Officer, you will have responsibility for sourcing goods and services across the organisation, ensuring quality, value, continuity of supply and contract management activities.

You will oversee procurement for our existing homes and offices, whilst also leading procurement activity for new care home openings, working closely with Project Managers, Interior Designers, suppliers and the Senior Leadership Team.

You will identify opportunities for efficiencies and cost savings, manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts and ensure procurement processes are simple, effective and aligned with our values and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) framework.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Researching suppliers and obtaining quotations to ensure the best quality and value.
• Developing preferred supplier lists, procurement guides and resources for managers.
• Carrying out supplier performance reviews and sharing findings with senior leaders and the Board.
• Managing procurement budgets and producing monthly expenditure reports.
• Working collaboratively with Operations, Finance and the Senior Leadership Team to support strategic decision making.

• A relevant qualification in Procurement, Business, Finance within similar environment
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
