Job summary

Streamline Search Ltd. is seeking a Procurement Lead in Witney, Oxfordshire, on a full-time, office-based basis. You will own the procurement function’s day-to-day performance, drive MRP improvements, and lead supplier relationships in a hands-on role.

The ideal candidate combines strong procurement experience with analytical skills, advanced Excel, and a commercial mindset to optimise costs, lead times and supply resilience.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in procurement, purchasing or supply chain.
• Experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment is preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of day-to-day performance and control of the procurement function.
• Support purchasing activity, supplier issues and procurement prioritisation.
• Identify supply risks before they impact Production.
• Monitor procurement KPIs and implement recovery plans.
• Lead regular procurement meetings and review KPIs and supplier performance.
• Provide procurement updates to senior management and internal teams.
• Improve MRP accuracy and effectiveness.
• Maintain supplier information, lead times, pricing, and reorder points.
• Identify opportunities to automate purchasing and reduce manual work.
• Analyse historic usage, current orders and future demand.
• Plan purchasing around lead times, MOQ, stock levels and risk.
• Develop strong relationships with suppliers.
• Identify alternative suppliers to improve cost and resilience.
• Obtain and compare quotations and negotiate terms.
• Support supplier quality issues and corrective actions.
• Monitor purchasing spend and supplier performance.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
