Job summary

Reed Specialist Recruitment in Sheffield is seeking a Procurement Coordinator to manage supplier performance, coordinate material supply and ensure inventory levels align with production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will collaborate with Procurement, Manufacturing and Logistics teams, negotiate rates, and leverage ERP/MRP systems while maintaining data integrity and efficiency. The role features a days-based schedule with an early finish on Fridays and flexi time.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in procurement or supply chain within the manufacturing industry.
• ERP and MRP systems proficiency.
• Strong capability in building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Desirable: experience in aerospace or aviation industry.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of suppliers, negotiating competitive rates and overseeing performance.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels to balance production needs and minimise excess.
• Address supplier delivery issues by identifying causes and implementing solutions.
• Collaborate with Logistics and Manufacturing teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Conduct supplier visits to assess and enhance performance and relationships.
• Utilise ERP and MRP systems to manage purchase requirements effectively.
• Maintain high standards of data integrity and operational efficiency across internal systems.
