Job summary

Confidential is seeking a Consumables Procurement Coordinator for a 3-month temporary contract at their Clevedon site. The role involves ensuring continuous supply of materials, coordinating with suppliers, planning, IT and production teams, and maintaining stock levels using SAP/MRP.

The successful candidate will have procurement or supply chain experience, with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Prior procurement, purchasing or supply chain experience.
• Experience managing suppliers and chasing deliveries.
• Good understanding of stock and inventory management.
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems, ideally SAP.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage relationships with regular suppliers via phone, email and face-to-face communication.
• Order and coordinate consumables and materials across the site.
• Monitor and chase outstanding deliveries to ensure timeliness.
• Ensure deliveries are booked in and available to production.
• Monitor stock levels and maintain accurate inventory information.
• Use SAP/MRP systems to understand future requirements and manage stock.
• Collaborate with Planning and Manufacturing teams for upcoming needs.
• Resolve delivery, invoicing and booking-in queries.
• Compare suppliers on price, availability and lead times.
• Manage shelf-life items and ensure timely delivery.
• Assist the introduction of new suppliers and improve procurement processes.
