Job summary

Pertemps Network Group is seeking an experienced Procurement Coordinator to join our Birmingham-based operations. You will support purchasing strategy, manage supplier relationships, and ensure timely deliveries to production sites.

This is a full-time, office-based role offering £51,000 per year plus discretionary bonus, 25 days holiday, a pension option, and full training. You will work with cross-functional teams to optimise stock and costs.

Qualifications

  • Procurement, purchasing and supply chain experience in a manufacturing/distribution setting.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proactive problem-solving, initiative and decision-making abilities.
  • Experience managing a broad range of SKUs.
  • Stock forecasting, sales trends and manufacturing requirements analysis.
  • Ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Experience with diversified sourcing and supplier risk management.
  • Excellent written and spoken English and strong IT skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the UK/overseas.
  • Right to work in the UK; CIPS qualification advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Support the full procurement cycle, including supplier research, cost comparisons, purchase orders and supplier relationship management.
  • Support negotiations with suppliers to achieve competitive pricing and terms.
  • Ensure stock levels are optimised against product sales, production requirements and warehouse capacity.
  • Raise purchase orders and validate supplier invoices.
  • Provide updates on pricing and changes affecting product costings.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Monitor purchase orders and resolve outstanding deliveries and invoice queries.
  • Maintain approved supplier and product databases.
  • Assist with supplier risk assessments.
  • Support cost-saving initiatives through negotiation and alternative sourcing.
  • Maintain procurement records and databases; produce analysis and forecasting reports.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to identify and respond to business requirements; attend supplier meetings as required.

Procurement Coordinator

Location: Birmingham

Hours: Full Time – 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £51,000 per annum + discretionary bonus

About the Role

We are recruiting for an experienced Procurement Coordinator to join a successful and growing UK manufacturing and distribution business based in Birmingham.

Reporting to the Purchasing and Operations Director, you will take responsibility for supporting the organisation's purchasing strategy, ordering materials and components, and working closely with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries to production sites.

You will play a key role in maintaining effective stock control, managing inventory levels and supporting the business in achieving competitive purchasing costs.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • A proven track record in procurement, purchasing and supply chain processes

Key Responsibilities

As Procurement Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:

  • Attending supplier meetings as required
