Job summary

National Grid is seeking an experienced Change Manager in Warwick on a 12-month fixed-term contract to drive procurement transformation. You will lead change activities across multiple workstreams, develop adoption plans, and work with senior stakeholders to ensure new processes are effectively adopted.

You will develop change strategies, engage teams, and monitor outcomes to sustain business impact while collaborating with communications and training leads.

We're seeking an experienced Change Manager to play a key role in delivering our Procurement Excellence 2030 ambition. This is an exciting opportunity to influence how procurement operates, helping our people embrace new ways of working, embed process improvements and support the successful adoption of transformational initiatives.

The role will be 12 month Fixed Term contract.

As a Change Manager, you'll lead and support change activity across multiple workstreams, ensuring that people are at the heart of every transformation initiative. Working closely with senior stakeholders, programme teams and procurement colleagues, you'll assess change impacts, drive engagement and ensure that new processes, ways of working and future system implementations are successfully adopted.

You’ll be responsible for developing and delivering change strategies, stakeholder engagement plans and adoption activities that enable sustainable business change and long-term success.

The role is hybrid with our base office in Warwick.

What you’ll do
  • Support the delivery of Procurement Excellence initiatives across multiple workstreams.
  • Develop and implement effective change management strategies and adoption plans.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business, understanding their needs and managing expectations throughout the change journey.
  • Identify change impacts, assessing organisational readiness and recommending appropriate interventions.
  • Deliver tailored change and engagement activities aligned to programme objectives.
  • Support leaders, teams and individuals through periods of transition to ensure successful adoption of change.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of change initiatives, gathering feedback and implementing continuous improvements.
  • Identify, manage and mitigate resistance to change.
  • Develop detailed implementation plans, including timelines, risks and resource requirements.
  • Work closely with communications and training leads to ensure colleagues are equipped with the knowledge and capability needed to successfully adopt change.
What you’ll need
  • Significant experience in Change Management, Business Transformation or a similar change delivery role within a large and complex organisation.
  • A strong understanding of change management principles, methodologies and best practice frameworks.
  • Demonstrable professional experience delivering and managing change initiatives.
  • Experience delivering large-scale business change and driving adoption of new ways of working.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong communication and engagement capabilities, with the confidence to challenge and inspire.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong planning, organisation and project management experience.
  • Change Management certification (such as APMG, CMI or equivalent) is desirable.
What you’ll get

A competitive salary between £58,000- £71,000 per annum dependent on capability.

As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus of upto 30% based on personal and company performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
