Job summary

The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Category Support Officer to join the Procurement Team and support the delivery of the HPL Procurement Strategy and national procurement agendas across the Trusts.

The role focuses on managing concurrent projects to help the Trust meet annual Cost Improvement Programmes while adhering to Public Contract Regulations 2015 and Procurement Act 2023, ensuring value for money and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Understanding of procurement processes and governance.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Public Contract Regulations and compliance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Manage concurrent procurement projects to support Cost Improvement Programmes.
• Support Category Lead and senior team members in delivering procurement strategy.
• Provide sound procurement advice in-line with standing financial instructions.
• Engage internal/external colleagues and suppliers to build strategic relationships.
• Work with P2P and Supply Chain teams to deliver joined-up procurement services.
